Lage Raho Munna Bhai
Munna Bhai alias Murli Prasad Shama ( Sanjay Dutt ) is an under world don of Mumbai city. Munna falls in love with the voice of a well known radio-jockey Jahnvi ( Vidya Balan ), and dreams of marrying her. One day Munna finds a golden opportunity to meet his only love Jahnvi as she announces a contest on Mahatma Gandhi's life on 2nd October- Gandhi Jayanti. Circuit, who is Munna's sidekick helps Munna to win this contest, by using his own bhaigiri tactics. As a contest winner Munna goes to meet Jahnvi and presents himself as a history professor and a complete Gandhi follower. Impressed, Jahnvi asks Munna to present a lecture on Gandhi to a group of senior citizens who live with her in her home called "Second innings house". Munna gets completely nervous. Circuit takes Munna to a library and asks him to study the life and works of Gandhi, as much as he can. Munna indulges himself in the intense study. During this period Mahatma Gandhi's image (soul) appears (Dilip Prabbaralkar) and promises Munna to help him. Mahatma Gandhi alias Bapu, encourages Munna to tell the truth about himself to Jahnvi. Bapu continues to appear everytime Munna is in trouble. Munna becomes a complete follower of Gandhigiri ( gandhism ) and succeeds in impressing Jahnvi. He also starts co-hosting a radio programme with Jahnvi trying to solve the problems of oridinary people with the help of Gandhigiri. The story takes a turn, when a friend of Munna, Lucky Singh (Boman Irani) has his eyes set on the Second Innings house as a gift for his only daughter's upcoming wedding . While Munna is busy holidaying with Jahnvi in Goa, Lucky sends Circuit to vacate the 2nd Innings home. Circuit being completely unaware that it is Jahnvi's home, follows Lucky's instructions. When Munna comes to know this, then instead of taking revenge he starts a 'non-violent' protest against Lucky. Munna, Jahnvi, Circuit and all the senior citizens begin a "Satyagraha" infront of Lucky's house. During this period Munna somehow manages to tell Jahnvi the truth about himself. Jahnvi walks out of Munna's life. Upset, Munna does not give up and still continues with Gandhigiri. How Munna manages to win Jahnavi's heart back and how he fights with Lucky using his Gandhigiri fundas is shown in the movie.Director: Rajkumar Hirani
